Obituary of Carl Stanley Walker
CARL STANLEY WALKER
May 8, 1934 – May 10, 2025
Carl Stanley Walker passed away suddenly but peacefully on May 10, 2025, just two days after celebrating his 91st birthday. He died in the loving arms of his wife, Jean, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Carl was born in East Williams Township, Middlesex County, on May 8, 1934, to Elinor Isobel (Anderson) Walker and Stanley Henderson Walker. He was predeceased by his parents, his only brother Robert, and sister-in-law Vivian. He is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Washington State, as well as by Jean’s extended family in Alberta and British Columbia.
Carl had a long and respected career as a real estate broker in the area. He found great joy in rose gardening and took pride in planting a wide variety of trees and shrubs, always seeking to bring colour and beauty to his surroundings. In accordance with Carl’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service. If desired, donations in Carl’s memory may be made to Knox Church, P.O. Box 565, Bayfield, ON N0M 1G0.
Special thanks to Dr. Whynot and the compassionate medical staff at Craigwiel Gardens in Ailsa Craig for the care they provided during Carl’s short stay.
Now free from pain, he leaves behind a legacy of love and quiet strength.
Until we meet again — with all my love,
Jean
