Obituary of Kay Bullock
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Kay Bullock announces her passing on January 11th, 2026 at the incredible age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Robert Bullock (2006). Loving and dear mother of Betty (Garry), the late Duff (2009)(Peggy), Norma (John), the late Tom (2020)(Jennifer), Jim (Janice), and Wendy (Don). Proud and cherished Grandma of 14 grandchildren and Old Grandma of 15-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her grandson Bryan (2009). Kay is survived by her sister June.
Kay was born on July 9, 1925 and raised in Arkona. After high school she worked in the post office. She was Post Mistress during the war. After a short courtship, she married Robert Bullock in 1947. With Bob being a trucker, they moved around a lot in their early married life.
Kay spent a lot of time with her grandmother. This is where her love of needling came from. Knitting crocheting and quilting. Her hands were always busy, and afternoon soaps went well together!
In 1963 Bob bought half of the Chevy dealership, Ridley-Bullock motors. Kay found the Parkhill Baptist Church. She played the organ from 1969 to 1999 until the church closed. Being a busy mom and wife, she found the time to manage the bowling alley in the 1970s. Bob sold his share of the garage and drove school bus, giving them more time to spend with their family and friends. Kay also looked after her mother after her dad passed away, from 1974 to 1994.
Kay loved her family and friends unconditionally. Her passion was her fancy work, oil paintings, jigsaw puzzles, diamond art, and she loved having Chinese takeout with her daughter-in-law.
Card games were big on her list also. Euchre each Friday in Parkhill and cards at the apartments with her buddies. And of course, bingo in the afternoon.
Kay will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 11a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1p.m. at DENNING’S OF PARKHILL. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, with reception at the funeral home following the interment. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Huron Residential Hospice or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.
