Obituary of Laverne Cobban

It is with great sadness that the family announces Laverne's passing at age 83 on November 22, 2012. He will be remembered lovingly by his wife, Shirley (née MacCallum) and devoted father of Paul and Tom, predeceased by their eldest son, David (1992). Laverne was the only son of the late Earl (1962) and Pearl (née McLean-1979) Cobban. Other family members are brother-in-law, Tom MacCallum (2004), sister-in-law, Sally (2010) and husband Ray (1990) Ewbank and their children, Andy and Peter (Kathleen) and family (Courtney and Chris), sister-in-law, Anne (2011) and husband Bill Fennell and their family, Dick (Gail), sons Chad and Garrett and their mother, Robin, Becky (Doug) Elder and their children (William, Kristi and Thomas) and Amos and his daughter (Savanah) and James (predeceased 1967). Relatives and friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday, November 25th from 7-9 PM and 1 hour prior to the 2:00 pm memorial service held Monday, November 26th with Rev. Ed Hoekstra officiating. Surrounded by the love of his family, a private interment will be made at Cooks Cemetery beside his beloved son, David: together again.
