Obituary of Hilda Salomons

On October 17, 2012 in her 82nd year, Hilda Salomons (nee Stol) peacefully slipped away into glory to be with the Lord and Saviour, with family at her side. Loving wife of the late Klaas Salomons. Beloved mother of Tinie (Bert) Van Rooyen of Forest, Henry (Alice) of Strathroy, Charly (Alice) of Strathroy, Ed of Alberta, Grace (Klaas) Reyneveld of Florida, Rita (Zegert) Van Rooijen of Thedford, Jerry (Millie) of Strathroy, the late Jim of Strathroy, Wendy of Strathroy and Ben (Dawn) of Glencoe. Survived by 35 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren. Friends will be received on Sunday, October 21st from 6-9 PM at the Providence United Reformed Church, 447 Second St., Strathroy where a funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22nd at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harry Zekveld officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Word & Deed Ministries, P.O. Box 20100, St. Thomas, On, N5P 4H4 or to a charity of your choice. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Hilda.
