Obituary of Allen Amos

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Allen at home surrounded by his loving family, on Friday February 3, 2012, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Jean (Kennedy) Amos for the past 44 years. Cherished father of Kim Apps (Mike), Jeff Amos (Jody), Cathy Talbot (Brian), Amanda Hodgins (Jamie), and Angela Hindmarsh (Brandon). Loving papa of Greg, Brad and Emily Apps; Owen, Cole and Brady Amos; Martha and Matthew Talbot; Aaron and Hayden Hodgins; and Devon and Logan Hindmarsh. Brother of Lawrence and Carol Amos and brother-in-law of Don and Elaine Stebbins, Lorne and Shirley MacGregor and Audrey McAdam. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Joe and Martha Amos, father and mother-in-law Archie and Viola Kennedy. Family and friends will be received at the T.Stephenson and Son Funeral Home, 171 Ailsa Craig Main Street, Ailsa Craig on Monday from 4- 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Ailsa Craig Community Centre, 155 Annie Ada Shipley Street, Ailsa Craig on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Interment in Mars Hill Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Allen, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, VON or the Brinsley United Church
