Obituary of Ella Thompson

Died peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, June 1, 2011 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Alex Thompson (1979). Loving mother of Donald Thompson of London and Kenneth (Marilyn) Thompson of St. Clair Beach. Ella will be missed by her grandchildren, Tim (Barb) Thompson of London, Delia (Rob) Littlejohn of Strathroy, and Tyler (Rita) Thompson of Livonia, MI. Great-grandma to Tatem, Gavin, Brennan and Nya Littlejohn. Survived by her sister Jessie in British Columbia. Predeceased by her brothers Alex, John and Frank Murray, as well as her sister May Murray. Survived by her sister-in-law Audrey (Bert) Thompson , Helen (Merlin) Clark and Eileen (Ernie) McEwen. Ella will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Strathmere Lodge,VON staff and the volunteers at Trillium Village. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bob Hayne and Rev. Karen Nelles officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
