Obituary of Victor Charbonneau

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday March 22, 2011. Victor Joseph Charbonneau of Sprucedale Care Centre Strathroy in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Elodia (Dufour) Charbonneau of Strathroy and dear father of Francis (Frank) Charbonneau and his wife, Susan, Donald Charbonneau and his wife, Jude, Marcel Charbonneau and his wife, Beverly, all of Wawa, Richard Charbonneau and his wife, Caroline, of Goulais River, Lise / Jim Jaquith of London, Guy Charbonneau and his wife, Nicole, of Strathroy and Carole / Zee Markowicz of Vancouver. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren as well as his sister Theresa Taite of Toronto, brother- in-law, Conrad Dufour, and wife, Nicole , of Wellington. Remembered by a long- time friend Claudette Dupuis. Predeceased by his father, Romual Charbonneau, mother, Dorothy Caverley, and brother, Eddy Charbonneau. Special thanks for the care and kindness rendered by the staff of Sprucedale Care Centre and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Victor was a long- time member and friend of the Ontario Branch of AA. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Front St East, Strathroy, on Saturday, April 30, at 10:00am with Father Lucio Couto Celebrant. Interment at a later date in Sturgeon Falls Ont. Donations in memory of Victor to the Alzheimer society would be appreciated by the family. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Victor.
