Obituary of Milton Tweddle

Peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2011, Milton John Tweddle of Ailsa Craig passed into Gods hands. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary (Dorman). Born January 15, 1925, Milton spent his 86 years enjoying farming and raising his 7 children in McGillivray Township. Waiting to greet him in heaven are his parents Agnes (Prest) and Jack, brothers Kenneth, Harvey, sister Eleanor and grandson Kyle. Survived by his children Doug (Pat) of Strathroy, Barry (Barb) of Ailsa Craig, Linda (Lawrence) Lockhart of Bayfield, Bill of Ailsa Craig, Jim (Marcia) of Mitchell, Ann (Bill) of London and Carol (Keith) Murray of Ailsa Craig. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Tammy, Nolan, Jason, Jody, Lori, Mark, Jessica, Lily, Caleb, Matthew and Joel, as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at T.Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Interment in Mars Hill Cemetery in the spring. A Legion Service will be held in Milton's honour on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In memory of Milton, donations may be made to the M.S. Society.
