Obituary of Maria Metzger

Passed away peacefully with family at her side, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, February 25, 2011. Maria Dos Anjos (Pires) Metzger of Strathroy in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Klaus Metzger of Strathroy for 47 years. Dear mother of Angela and Joel Langford of Kerwood and Kim and Colin Primock of Strathroy. Grandmother of Robert, Nicole and James also survived by her brothers Hermano (Amy) Pires of Vancouver B.C., Tony ( Agnes) Pires of Strathroy and her sister Tina( Gerry) Driesman of Strathroy, as well as many nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her parents Raul and Maria Pires and mother in law Rosle Kollmar. Visitation will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME , STRATHROY on Monday February 28, 2011 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Parish prayers will be said on Monday at 1:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Tuesday March 1 , 2011 at 11:00 am with Father Lucio Couto officiant. Interment to follow in All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Maria to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Women's Rural Resource Centre of Strathroy would be appreciated by the family.
