Jack and I go way back, Jack used to deliver our gravel and it was always a pleasure to see him coming and have a little chat.
We always enjoyed their presence at church and his amazing tap dancing while Roy Zinn played the fiddle.
Shirley, Jack will be missed by you and your family!
May God comfort you during this time of sorrow.
Love, Ed and Annelies Butler

Shirley and family we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Jack but wow was he ever so full of life. I remember going square dancing with him and Shirley at the cold Stream community centre and also many days when Jack was gardening in the fields and he let me drive his golf cart with my little girl Beverly. we spent so many days out at the farm with Jack , Shirley And good ol Tommy boy and I’m so grateful. You were my family when I was all alone. I love the way he played his harmonica and danced and I think he was like in his 80s when I met him and he was so vibrant and then he had knee surgeries And kept on rockin! he was so fun and we loved him. Our most sincere condolences. God bless you Shirley we love you xox I always said it’s hard to keep up with Jack and you ! Always full of the right kind of fun. Our prayers are with you - how blessed we all were to have know your Jack - an unforgettable soul Xo love Jackie, Beverly (now 15) and family xox

Dear Shirley and Family
We were saddened to hear about Jack. We know you will all miss him dearly. He was such a kind and loving person. Full of humour. I remember after his knee surgery I asked how he was doing. He said " Great, better than ever. I can even dance" to prove his point he did a little jig in the lobby at church. You are all in our hearts and our prayers

I will always have the fondest memories of Jack and his harmonica. Even in his early 90"s he would be happy to play a few notes and do a little jig. The world is a different place now without Jack. To Shirley, Max and Joyce and the rest of the family please accept my most sincere condolences

I grew up knowing that Jack Dorman was my dad's best friend! Norm Amos and Jack Dorman had quite a colourful youth, from the stories they let slip out. As a family, I remember going to Jack and Shirley's home, and read that must be where they still lived. I send condolences on behalf of my parents.

GOD our Father.
You're power brings us to birth.
You're providence guides our lives.
And by your command we return to dust
LORD,
Those who die still live in your presence
Their lives change but do not end
I pray and hope for my family, relatives and friends
And for all the dead known to you alone
In company with Christ who died and now lives
May they all rejoice in His kingdom
where tears are wiped away
Unite us together again, one family forever to sing his praise
forever and ever
Amen
Safe journey's Uncle Jack

Shirley & Family,
We are going to greatly miss our visits with Jack... the stories, jokes, and harmonica interludes were one of a kind. He was our window view of great past times. His departure saddens us, but comforting to know he is in the eternal glory he was so faithfully devoted to. What an honour to know him.

We lost a true gentleman with a big kind heart. His name was not Mr Dorman, it was Jack he always said. His attitude about farming was never do anything that if things don't turn out, you can still farm next year. Family was his life and we will all miss his kind ways.
Sorry for the loss of your special partner Shirley.

Jack was one of my very best friends and I always tried to drop in on him at least once a week. Many times I told Jack what an inspiration he was to me, a wonderful example of how to live life and be a great human being. I always sat fascinated as he regaled me with stories of days gone by. His memory for dates, times and details was impeccable AND HIS HUMOUR SECOND TO NONE. My friend lived a full and rewarding life, no regrets and I think was God's good and humble servant. I think the story he most liked to tell was of how he met his beloved Shirley and how lucky he was to choose a good one. No argument there. Rest in peace my friend, you will never be forgotten and I thank you for the very positive impact you have made on my life. I fully expect you have your heavenly dancing shoes on now and are once again cutting a mean rug.
