Obituary of Barbara Keller

At Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy Barbara Keller (Stortz) in her 95th year passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Peter Keller and dear mother of Theresa and her husband Erich Schaefer of Strathroy. Loving Oma of Michael Schaefer & his wife Hope of Oakville, Paul Schaefer & his wife Janice of Kearney and Elisabeth & her husband Dave Eastman of London. Survived by and loved by her great grandchildren Michelle and her husband Derek, Paul, Kathleen & Erica. Also survived by her sister Rosa and George Welfle and family and nephew Josef Keller, and his family in Germany. The Schaefer family would like to thank the health care providers and staff at Strathmere Lodge for their compassionate care and support for Barbara and our family and Dr. Marr for her support. A special thanks is extended to Fred Overdulve for his dedication to the spiritual care for Barbara. Oma will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Friends will be received on Friday, November 26th from 7-9 pm at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy. Vigil prayers to be prayed at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Saturday, November 27th at 10:00am with Fr. Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Barbara's name to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Barbara.
