Obituary of Maria Chys

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy, on Wednesday November 10, 2010, Maria Magdalena Chys (Martens) born in Veledem Belgium, passed in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Gaston Chys (1985). Loving mother of Dianne Pynaert (Paul) of Thamesville, Lillian Driessens-Flemming (John) of London, and Suzanna Gysemans (Cliff Cowell) of Strathroy. Cherished grandmother of Larry (Rae), Cherie Driessens, Sandra Brown (Todd) and Erick Gysemans (Bonnie). Great-grandmother of Debbie (Jeremy) and Charlie Driessens, Christopher Brown, Kaylee and Leah Gysemans. Predeceased by her brother Emile and sister Nellie. Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, on Friday from 4-7 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Father Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In memory of Maria, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
