Obituary of John Eyk

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. John Anthony Van Eyk of Strathroy in his 56th year. Beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth (Cook). Loving father of Derek, Darren and Eric (1992). Dear son of Anne Van Eyk and brother of Sue Van Eyk and Marianne and Frank Kennes. Also survived by his nephews Jeff and Ben Kennes. Predeceased by his father Ted (2005). Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Thursday, November 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Friday, November 5 at 11 AM with Fr. Lucio Couto officiating. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Strathroy. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30 PM. Donations to Schwachman-Diamond Syndrome Canada or the Strathroy Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) would be appreciated by the family.
