Obituary of Rose McCallum

Suddenly in Flagstaff, Arizona on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 as the result of a heart attack. Rose Marie (Campbell) McCallum of RR#6 Strathroy in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Aubrey McCallum for over 57 years. Cherished mother of Jim (Kathleen) McCallum, John McCallum, Constance Thompson and Robert (Wendy) McCallum. Rose was adored by her 9 grandchildren; Angela McCallum, Pamela (Jeff) McCallum, Everett McCallum, Daniel McCallum, Lindsay Thompson, Matthew (Laura) Thompson, Erin McCallum, Ryan McCallum and Bernadette Brown. She was the proud great grandmother of Olivia, Johnny and Jack. Survived by her sisters Tena (Grant) Calwell of Thamesville and Margaret McCallum of Wallacetown and brothers Russell (Grace) Campbell of Iona Station and Keith (Paula) Campbell of Denfield and brother-in-law Donald (Carol) Hawkins of London and sister-in-law Betty Hogg of Guelph. Aunt Rosie will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Rosie graduated from Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and was a dedicated and caring nurse at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for many years. Visitation will be held at the T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig on Sunday, November 7 from 5-9 PM were a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 8 at 11 AM with Rev. Doug Miles officiating. A private family interment to follow in Nairn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that charitable donations be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation, Victorian Order of Nurses or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
