Obituary of Corrie Geerts

Peacefully at University Hospital on Wednesday July 21, 2010, surrounded by her family, Cornelia "Corrie" Geerts (VandenVelden) passed in her 81st year. Beloved wife of John. Loving mother of the late Mary Maes, Jeff and Marilyn Maes, Bill and Carol Geerts, and Heidi and Mike Veeke. Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of Rik and Carmen Vanderlinde; Linda and Joe Minten: Mariya, Joshua, Jonathan, Megan Minten; Jennifer and Jason Harmsworth: Dylan and Trevor Harmsworth; Natalie Geerts and Ian Geerts; Shane Veeke and Jessica Veeke. She will be dearly missed by family, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. West, Strathroy on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 124 Front St, East, Strathroy on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In memory of Corrie, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
