Obituary of John Tamming

Safe in the arms of Jesus. Safe on his gentle breast. Tamming, John - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at University Hospital, London, Ont. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the age of 80. Beloved and devoted husband of Froukje Tine (Wigboldus). Dear father of John (MaryAnn) of Strathroy, Frances (Paul) Maciejewski of Strathroy, Grace (Albert) Weesjes of Aylmer, Ralph of Drumbo, Martin (Marie) of Ottawa, Clara (Ken) Snedden of Vernon, B.C. and Andrew (Ros) of Naas, Ireland. Predeceased by daughter Ekka in 1977. Loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren. Brother of Ralph (Tine), Martin (Nellie), Jim (Barb), Albert (Martha), Johan (Hilda) and Gerard. Brother-in-law to Anneke, Joke (Okke), Ralph (Willy), Jan Drewes, Simon (Bertha), Tineke, Clara (Dick), Cathy (Bob), Paul (Mae), Clarence (Barb), Mary (Joe) and Andy. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street, Strathroy on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Westmount Christian Reformed Church, Drury Lane, Strathroy. Those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider the Strathroy Hospital Foundation or Strathroy Community Christian School.
