Obituary of Leo Hoefnagels

Peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 19, 2010 in his 79th year. Deeply loved husband of 52 years to Mary (Vander Velden). Loving and caring father of John (Erica), Patrick (Rachel), Kathy Bigras (Guy), Anne, and Leo (Suzanne). Loving Opa of 14 grandchildren. Dear brother of Gertie Strybosch, Tony Hoefnagels ( Kate), Morris Hoefnagels (Willy), Louise Terpstra (Harry), Joe Hoefnagels (Margaret). Brother-in-law of John Vander Velden (Nelly), Herb Vander Velden (Rosemary), Annie Mader (Urban), Bill Vander Velden (Tina), Marty Vander Velden (Lex) and Hank Vander Velden (Diane). Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Father Joe Hardy and Father Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Parish Prayers will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus Prayers at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Terry Fox Foundation.
