Obituary of Velda Sutherland

At Watford Quality Care Centre late on Sunday, January 10, 2010, Velda Christina (Grosvenor) Sutherland of RR 5 Forest and formerly of Mt. Brydges and Melbourne passed away in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Mac Sutherland for nearly 58 years. Dear mother of Susan Sutherland and her husband Robert Blair of Forest and Allen Sutherland of Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Kasey, Brian and Daniel Sutherland of Sarnia. Dear sister-in-law of Mabel Reilly of Strathroy, Alice Earley of St. Catherines, Gladys Richardson of Exeter, Mary Clark of RR 5 Parkhill and Dorothy Glover of Mt. Brydges. Predeceased by her father Clifford Grosvenor (1964), her mother Irene (Roemmele) Grosvenor (1993) and her daughter-in-law Kerry (Bidner) Sutherland (2009). Family and friends will be received at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Wednesday, January 13th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m as well as Thursday January 14, 2010 from 1-2 p.m. prior to a Memorial Service at 2 p.m with Rev. Don Keenliside officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Sarnia-Lambton or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
