Obituary of Willy Matthys

Peacefully, after a long illness, on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Willy Matthys of Strathroy in his 67th year. Dear and beloved husband of Elizabeth Matthys (nee Bota). Dear brother of Lillian Donck. Much loved brother-in-law of Irene (Joe) Zahorak. Predeceased by his father and mother Omer and Hermenie Matthys and brother-in-law Albert Donck. Sadly missed by family, Roger and Heidei Donck and their children of Strathroy, Sam and Lorraine Katsios of London and Tyler and Colleen Lougheed of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his dear friend Michael Ferreria. Friends will be received at Denning Bros, Funeral Home, Strathroy on Monday, November 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Prayers at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 1st at 9:00 am from All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy with Fr. Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow in St. Ladislaus Catholic Cemetery, Courtland, Ontario.
