Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital with his loving family by his side, on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, Pieter Oudekerk of Strathroy, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Diane (Van den Assen) for 64 years. Loving father of Elizabeth Freitas (Joe) of Strathroy and Dick (Linda) of North Bay. Proud grandfather of Lori Henderson (Todd) of Strathroy, Michael Freitas (Cheryl) of Rosemont, Kirby Oudekerk (Tara) of London and Dana Schoeley (Chris) of Parkhill. Dear great-grandfather of 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m A Funeral Service will be held from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 152 Albert Street, Strathroy on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Steve Boose officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. In memory of Pieter, donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Centre or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
