Obituary of Colin Lamont

Colin Alexander Lamont passed away peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Friday, October 23, 2009 in his 81st year. Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Lorraine (nee Shore). Much loved father of William and his wife Linda, Robert and his partner James, Edward and his wife Stephanie, and Sharon and her husband Christopher. Cherished grandfather of Ali, Malcolm, Bobby, Tommy, Ben, Owen, Luke, Kian, and Maggie. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Clemens and her husband Walter, brother Dr. Campbell Lamont and his wife Patricia, and brother-in-law Alan Shore. He will be missed by many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews and close family friends. Colin was a long active member of North Caradoc St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. He was happy to know his passion for farming continues through his son Bill, as he carries on the 168 year old family farm. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A memorial Service will be held from North Caradoc St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Kathy Fraser officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. In memory of Colin, donations may be made to the North Caradoc St. Andrews Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimers Society.
