My condolences to all of your family with the loss of Beth. I have always had fond memories of time spent with Beth("Mrs.McGregor" as we called her) as she volunteered countless hours to be our 4-H and Explorer leader. She welcomed us into her home and kitchen and met with us in the United Church and Masonic Hall. What I appreciate now as an adult is that she had never ending patience with a group of loud and giggly girls and taught us many skills that we probably all still use today, I know I do. Your mom touched many lives.

On our first day moving to Ailsa Craig in 2003, Beth was the first community member we met (setting up our mailbox). From that moment, she became our friend and helper, repeatedly answering all of the questions that a new family might have when moving to a new town. When we called or stopped into the Post Office, she filled us in many things like when the garbage dump was open and community events that were not to be missed. She always had a name of a local person who we might contact for everything we needed from firewood, music lessons or home contracting. From chatting with Beth, we knew we were going to love living in a small town. We were lucky to have her and Dawson for our neighbors and we appreciated the little things they both did. For example, Dawson gave our young children a beautiful carved Nativity Set which they still treasure, a yard deer display and he shared his rented wood splitter with us. Just a few weeks ago, Beth hailed us as we were passing by to tell us about a Christmas present for our children that she had to say thanks for their hard work delivering the weekly flyers.
Our hearts go out to the family. Beth's absence will be felt by so many. Ailsa Craig already feels a little emptier without her. Condolences from Rob, Leena, Alexander, Anthony and Kaisa Poirier

I did not know Beth until I retired and became active with the Quilt Festival and Arts Centre. In the short time I knew Beth, she became someone very dear to me. She was such an active member of our community and so willing to help in whatever way she could. My condolences and prayers go out to Dawson and children.

Bill and I are grieving today after learning of Beth’s passing. Beth’s warmth, humility & steadfastness impacted so many in this village. She made us welcome from the start after moving here from London. Beth was someone you could count on and laugh with. She had wisdom and common sense and she left her mark on the Ailsa Craig Quilt Festival, the church and the Ailsa Craig Arts Centre. What more can be said except that Beth was a kind, gentle friend and a really good person who will be greatly missed.

Dawson, Wayne and Wendy,
I was so sad to hear of Beth's passing.
I have so many fond memories of camping with all of you when we were staying with Poppa and Granny (Milt and Beryl Lightfoot). Diana and I had so much fun at the campfires, playing games, riding bikes and visiting with all of you.
I had not seen Beth for quite some time and then we went on a couple of the same bus trips, the most recent to Pigeon Forge and Nashville. It was nice to catch up with her.
My heart is heavy with your loss.
I will treasure the memories I have.
Sending you love and hugs,
Jacqui and Joe Lines
