To the Watson family:
I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He and Lois were former neighbours of mine down the way on Coldstream Rd. Later, seeing him at coffee with the boys at Tim's in Parkhill was so great, especially joking and talking when having coffee with my Dad. Always a smile and his quiet way. It is hard when we lose such long standing members of the community.
My thoughts are with you at this time.

It is always difficult to lose a family member as well as a community supporter , neighbor and friend. Nancy and I extend our heartfelt gratitude for having known Jim (and Lois) for such a long time. We will never forget the friendly wave, "hello!", "how are you?" that always accompanied Jim whenever we met. Memories keep us strong and we certainly have lots of good ones with a fine man.

It was such a pleasure and blessing to know your parents over fifty years. Their faithfulness and contributions in so many ways to Knox Centre Road Church was most commendable. Now, as you mourn the loss of your father, we pray that God will comfort you during this difficult time as we remember you with love and sincere sympathy.. "And the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:1

Although we had not known Jim for very long, we were always impressed by his youthfulness, sense of humour and grace. It was always a pleasure to sit near him at Community events and ask him about his long life. He was an inspiration to us, and to many others, we are sure! The family will sorely miss him, as will the entire community of North Middlesex.
Our sympathies to all of the family. You have a wonderful heritage to live up to.

The Watson family.
Sorry to hear of Jim and Lois's passing A truly remarkable family in the community. I remember the family from Center Road Church. I think my family, Scott and Jean Bice sat near the Watson family at church. I especially remember Lois and her weekly column in both the Parkhill Gazette and Strathroy Age Dispatch. When the young people moved on to school or away to work, I know the first thing I did was read the local " Springbank" column when I came home for the weekend or holidays. I can't remember all the details but I do know that both Jim and Lois were always interested in knowing about the young people of the community and providing , farm fields to play baseball.
Sorry for your loss, but the pictures show the Watson family has many prized memories and the name will be carried on.
Dorothy Bice
