Obituary of Luiz Ferreira

After a second battle with cancer, Luiz Oliveira Ferreira passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, at 85 years old. Husband of 58 years of Maria. Father of Connie Rebelo (Tony) of Strathroy, Fatima Garcia (John) of Agassiz, B.C., Luis Ferreira (Pam) of Duncan, B.C., and Fernando Ferreira of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Richard Rebelo (Sarah), Janice Melo (Humberto), Darryl Rebelo, Cassandra and Erick Ferreira, Shelley Garcia (Matt) and Kimberly Garcia. Great grandpa of Jasmine Melo. Survived by his brother Francisco in Faial Acores, Portugal. Predeceased by his parents Maria and Francisco and his sister Maria Lucia and brother-in-law Antonio Silveira. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home on Friday from 5-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Father Lucio Couto as celebrant. Interment following in All Saints Cemetery. In Memory of Luiz, donations may be made to the Strathroy Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
