Obituary of Cecile Gagnon

Cécile Gagnon, 64, of Strathroy, died Jan 23, 2009 after a year long fight with cancer. She was born May 7, 1944. Cécile worked as an assistant in Timmins, a teacher in Jogues, and an office clerk, sales person and office manager in Manitouwadge before retiring to Strathroy in 2001. She is survived her husband, Jean Gagnon; 2 children, Yves and Marc; 2 grandchildren, Madison and Luc; 4 brothers, Raoul, Gérard (Colette), Jean Paul (Francoise), Joseph (Solange); 3 sisters, Nellie (Hervé Levesque), Diane (Rhéal Lacelle), Michelle (Don Bosley); and 1sister-in-law, Jocelyne Gosselin. She was preceded by her parents, René and Germaine Campeau; her brother, Réal; and her sister-in-law, Yvonne. Cécile also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Catholic funeral mass and burial of the ashes will take place in late spring at the parish St. Martyrs Canadiens in Jogues. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Canadian Cancer Society.
