Obituary of Barbara Kechnie

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Barbara Jean Henry (Kechnie) (nee Sutherland) formerly of Mt. Brydges and Glencoe. Beloved wife of the late Glenn Kechnie and Albert (AC) Henry. Loving mother of Stephen and Linda Kechnie and Sandy and Liz Kechnie of London, Kate Kechnie and Deborah Conners of Carleton Place and Betsy and Bill Thomson of Ottawa. Dear grandma of Jen and Pearl, Michael, Heather, David, Emily, Laura, Carolyn and Kevin and great-grandma of Charter and Paisley. Sister of Alison (George) Jonckheere and Bill (Mary) Sutherland. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her twin sister Betty (Bill) Kipp, sister Kathryn (Alec) MacLeod and brothers Jack (Kay) and Ort (Joan) Sutherland. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, January 16 from 7-9 PM and on Saturday January 17 from 12-1 PM when a Memorial Service will be held with Rev. Charles Seed officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes in Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Port Burwell will take place at a later date.
