Obituary of Bert Munro

Quietly on Saturday December 20, 2008 at London, Ontario, Bert Dorman Munro died in his 92nd year. Born 1917 in Alisa Craig, Ontario to Bert Leo & Catherine Emma (Dorman) Munro. He was the beloved husband of Mary "Betty" (Richards) Munro from 1941 to 1982. The father of sons: Richard Daniel of Trout Creek, Montana and Robert Craig of London, Ontario. The grandfather of two granddaughters: Sara Elizabeth Dana, of Trout Creek, Montana and Maxine Mary Mahabia of London, Ontario. He also was the loved husband of Helen Norine Munro (Cousins). They were married in 1991 and she proceeded him in death in March 2008. Proceeded in death by his brother Gerald Dan Munro in April 1996 and his infant son Thomas John Munro in 1947. Bert was a WWII Veteran of the Canadian Army from 1939-1945. Then onto the Transportation Industry, "Silverwoods Dairy & Husband -Overnite" until retirement in 1981. Presently resting at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, Alisa Craig, Ontario. A funeral service and internment will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 1 PM with Rev. David Mitchell officiating.
