Obituary of Viola Kettlewell
With her family by her side at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Thursday December 18, 2008. Bell Kettlewell (Howlett),79 years, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ after a battle with cancer. Loving wife of Lloyd Kettlewell of Appin: devoted mother to David and Deanna Kettlewell of Strathroy; doting grandmother to her three "little duffers" Ian, Jillian and Daniel Kettlewell. Great sister to Roy and Bernice Whiting (Strathroy), Stuart and Marion Howlett (London), Donald and Betty Howlett (Burlington),William and Shirley Howlett (Burlington), Minze (late) and Elma Fennema (Strathroy), Donald and Evelyn Theaker (Lambeth), Roy and Marilyn Kettlewell (Port Lambton) and Larry and Mary Ann Kettlewell (Appin); as well as being a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews. Bell treasured volunteering at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. She enjoyed life and working on the farm as well as bringing lunches to the men in the field. Bell loved neighbours, friends and serving faithfully in the church. Bell was well respected for her consistent positive attitude, a gentle spirit and a fun loving sense of humour. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday December 21 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm where funeral service will be held on Monday December 22, 2008 at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Golden officiating. An immediate family private interment will take place in Appin Cemetery. Reception to follow at North Ekfrid United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or North Ekfrid United Church would be appreciated by the family.
