My deepest and sincere condolences to Donna (mom), Rob, Michelle, Dan and the entire family for such a great loss.
Monte (dad) was the most beautiful man and perfect example of what a husband, father, grandfather and friend should be. He dedicated his life to working hard, loving and supporting his wife and children, while giving back whenever he could.
His neighborhood watch kept a close eye whenever his neighbor's were in need. Never second guessing putting on his runners, a jacket, mind you no hat or gloves to clear that snow when he seen them struggle or offer assistance when the need presented itself.
He was the biggest cheerleader and bench coach when watching his children and grandchildren play their sports. Never missing a game and traveling the distance to get there.
Dad wasn't an emotional man by the term but showed his love in many other ways. Whether it be taking a headlock wrestling with the boys, to making sure the grandkids had everything setup to play when they came for a visit.
A true Boston Bruins fan, he never faultered when the chance came to challenge the family Leafs or Penguins fans.
He always made sure in the way he showed best, that his family and friends were always loved and appreciated.
There will never be anyone else in comparison to him. An example of whom we should all be.
Always in our thoughts and forever loved. Father and Friend.
David

This was probably 35 years ago, I lived across the road from the Holland's in Craig as a child. One time I remember I had wiped out pretty bad on my bike on the sidewalk across from there house. I was laying under my bike kind of in shock. Monte must have seen me laying there. He ran across the road and helped me up. He dusted the gravel off my shins. He said you alright? I nodded and went on my way. Another time my brother had his foot caught between a few deck boards at our house and Monte came across the road and freed him up as we were all panicking. We spent a lot of time at the Hollands as Children and they were always welcoming. Later as an adult I'd see Monte when he was picking up loads in his truck at Bonduelle in Strathroy. I will always remember him as a Quiet and Kind man. He will be missed for sure. To Michelle, Dan, Rob and Donna from my family to yours our deepest sympathies and condolences.
