I am a voice from long ago, but not so long ago that I forget marking English and History examination papers at NMDHS submitted by students, such as Jack Tweddle and Carol McLinchey! I’m not sure if students remember fondly those days, as do teachers. Jack was such a courteous, good-natured, pleasant student. He was a gift without even knowing it.
I extend to Carol my condolences. May it be a comfort to you and your family to know that there are others who walk with you in these shadows of loss and emptiness. While we are not at the centre of your circle, do not forget that we are lingering at the circumference of it. Be assured that our world was the better for having a Jack Tweddle in it, and never hesitate to celebrate that fact!

To Carol and all of the Tweddle family. Whenever I hear the name Jack Tweddle I immediately see a great guy in a red uniform guarding third base. Although we battled hard on the playing field we were friends when the game was done. Jack will be missed but he will be remembered.
