Verda, Sarah, Dawnna. So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He was much loved through good times and challenging times by his family and friends. The proof was everywhere. He was a gentleman, with a keen, dry sense of humour, a keen wit and an observant eye. Thank you for sharing him with us for a season at East Williams. I met Gary through my Dad, Ed Page, while he and Dad were judges in Winnipeg at the harness races. He was a very well liked and respected man. Over the few years they judged together they became good friends . My deepest sympathies to Verda and the girls and families. I know Gary will surely be missed. God bless you all. I bet he and Dad are hashing over horses and past races.

Gary was always a trickster who loved catching you in the act. We were on a picnic outside Winnipeg and were fishing in stocked ponds. Gary read a sign going past one pond and I missed the sign, so I fished throughout the afternoon and didn’t get a bite. Gary fished in one of the other ponds and the end of the day after fishing he asked if I caught anything…after I told him not a bite, he said well you should have read the signage…you were fishing in the only pond not stocked !!!
And believe he reminded me of this for years.
Gary will be dearly missed.
