Obituary of Virginia Sweet

Virgina “Ginny” Sweet passed away in her peacefully in her sleep on April 4^th, 2024 in her 75^th year.  Reunited with her beloved wife, Barbara “Barb” Sweet, in heaven.

Predeceased by her mother, Theresa Howell, and father Joseph R. Howell and her sister Jocelyn D Gaddis. She is survived by her sister, JoAnn Kines (Henry), and her brother, James Howell (Shannon).  Ginny was born in Newfoundland, and could tell many a wild tale of her adventures growing up in St. John’s.  Special mention to her lifelong friend, Ingrid Sterlow. She is survived by many family and friends in Newfoundland.

Ginny had a wonderful life in Toronto, and made many friends and close connections while living there. When Ginny and Barb moved to London, they both made many loving connections; especially with her “kids” when she worked at TeleTech London… which also garnered her the nickname “Mama Ginny”.  Ginny was always up for a good laugh, some loud 80s tunes,  and a nice tall cold glass of Stella beer.

Although quieter in her later years, her family and friends would like to mention Monica, Michelle, Lynn and Tabitha of the VON at Ailsa Craig Craigweil Gardens for taking care of her.  Special thanks to her friends Dianne, Adele and Jill for helping.
