Obituary of Winifred McConnell

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Monday, March 31, 2008, Winifred McConnell of Strathroy and formerly of Ottawa in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Hubert (Bun) McConnell (1993). Loving mother Bryan and Donna McConnell of Watford, Jane and the late George Counter (2006) of London, Cheryl and Martin Hughes of Strathroy. Dear Nanny of Richard, Kassandra, Bryson, Victoria, Lesleigh, Amanda, Adam, Krista, David and Carly. Survived by her sisters Marjorie Collins of Victoria, B.C. ,Betty Mackey of Utica, N.Y. and sister-in-law Rose Babington of Ottawa. Predeceased by her brother Brad Babington and sister Doris Carter. Sadly missed by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends & neighbours. Funeral Service will be held in the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by Winifred's family.
