Obituary of John Henry

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, John Michael Henry in his 76th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Cecile (Guillotte). Dear father of Steve Henry, Monica (Roger) Chevanel, Susan (Clive) Hubbard, Theresa (Chris) Adrian, Jacqueline Geneau and Patricia Morgan (Jason Ripp). Proud Grandfather of Ryan & Vanessa Chevanel, Brianne (Tom) Kortum, Tanya Gerryts, Christopher & Allison Adrian, and Jerrika & Spencer Geneau. Proud Great-Grandpa to Peyton Gerryts, Tanner & Logan Geneau. Survived by his sister Betty (Jack) Dwyer ,his brother Gerry Henry and his aunt Sister Georgina of the Sisters of St. Joseph, London ON. Predeceased by his son Marc Henry (1998) and grandson Benjamin Geneau (2006). John worked for Ontario Hydro for 38 years. He was proud to be the Chartered Grand Knight & Financial Secretary of Council 7570 of the Knights of Columbus, Strathroy ON. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W, Strathroy, on Friday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Knights of Columbus and Parish Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 6:30 P.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2007 in All Saints Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In memory of John, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
