Obituary of James Kersey

Cowboy ride on. Open that horse up and ride as fast as you can through the pastures in the sky. Run Levi, run on beside dad. Peacefully, on Friday, May 25, 2007, James (Jim) Kenneth Kersey went to ride Trina Reed in the barrel racing circuit in the sky. On May 10, 2007 Levi Kersey went peacefully to await his best friend to join him. Leaving behind to ride on; his daughter Melissa Lynda Kersey Santos. Leaving to drive on; his son-in-law Jose Manuel Dos Santos. Leaving to dance on; Carolyn Lea Kersey. Also survived by his brother Brian (Maryan) and sister Donna (Dave). Daddy will be remembered as a cowboy and for his work in the horse industry, Family Law, The Ford Plant and a jive cat that could never resist a jive-polka-waltz. Quarter horseman will live on in all of us. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Tuesday, May 29 from 5-9 PM and on Wednesday, May 30 from 12-1 PM when a funeral service will be held with Rev. Charles Seed officiating. Daddy and Levi will be laid to rest with his Mom and Dad in Watford Cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals would be appreciated.
