Obituary of Nelly Boomen

Nelly Vanden Boomen, a gentle, selfless, and caring woman, in her 82nd year, passed away peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy on May 21st, 2007 with her children by her side. Devoted wife of the late Martin Vanden Boomen. Loving mother of Martin (Annette), Peter (Diane), Bill (Marlene), Gary Vanden Boomen, and Mary (John) Walsh. Proud and doting grandmother of Brian, Kelly, Michael, Laura, Andrea, Karyn, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Richard, Rachelle, Devan, Jessica, Hannah, Justine, John, and Michael. Survived by brothers and sisters John (Lena) Strybosch, Martin (Irene) Strybosch, Tonny (Gerry) Vanden Boomen, Riky (Neil) McNeill, and Tony (Dianne) Strybosch. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Peter (Theresa) Vanden Boomen, John Vanderburgt, Leona Strybosch, and Harry Strybosch. Predeceased by brother William and sister Josephine Strybosch, sister-in-law Martina Vanderburgt, and brothers-in-law William, Chris, Harry, and John Vanden Boomen all of Holland. Visitation will be held in the Denning Bros. Funeral Home in Strathroy, on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 24th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery. Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home, Wednesday at 6:30PM. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
