Obituary of James Green

GREEN (James) Les Green. At home surrounded by his family, on Wednesday March 7, 2007 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 56 years. Loving father of Russell and his wife Peggy of London and Nilah Purdy and her husband Jay of Strathroy. Proud grandfather of Ken, Kate, Kristy, Jessie and Kyle. Cherished son of the late Lee and Hazel Green. Dear brother of Franklin, Leah Carlisle and her husband Merritt all of N.B., Gideon, Thelma and her companion Bill Wardell, and Wallace and his wife Darlene all of Strathroy. Brother-in-law of Phyllis, Jenny Hawksley both of N.B. and Annie Jones and her husband Ken of Toronto. Predeceased by his brother Oulton, brother-in-law Ted Bloomfield; Allison Hawksley; and Cecil, Ernest, George and Benny Forsyth. Les will be fondly missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home on Sunday, March 11, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Dr. Brian McKenzie officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. A reception of celebration to follow at the First Baptist Church. In memory of Les, donations for the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
