Obituary of George Merrick

George Alexander Merrick passed away peacefully at his home on his family farm in Metcalfe Township, Tuesday February 20, 2007. He was in his 78th year. Beloved Husband of June (Downs) Merrick. Only Son of the late Thomas Edward Merrick and Iva Gladys (McPhall) Merrick. Dear Father of Terry (Karen) and Mark (Kathryn). Beloved Papa of Cher, Nicole, Jessica, Erin and Little Nicki. Loved Father-in-law of Sheila Merrick. Dearest Brother of Evelyn MacCallum and Sister-in-law to Violet Field and the late Lyle Field. Predeceased by Brother-in-law Thomas MacCallum. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Thursday, February 22, 2007 from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Charlie Seed officiating. George will be buried in the family plot at Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Strathroy Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
