Obituary of Felicia Riddell
On Friday, August 25 at Strathmere Lodge in her 88th year. Felicia Rena, beloved wife of the late Lorne Riddell and loving mother of Gail (Sinclair) Harrison of Moosomin, Saskatchewan; Jane (Diane) Riddell of Arva, Ontario and David Riddell of Dresden, Ontario. Felicia is also survived by her brother, John Cobean of Port Elgin, Ontario, and her grandchildren Duncan (Joyce) Harrison of Chilliwack, British Columbia; Robin Harrison of Flin Flon, Manitoba; Tami (Wade) Moffatt of Regina, Saskatchewan; Stacie Harrison of Drayton Valley, Alberta; Paula (Carlin) Potter of Regina, Saskatchewan and will be sadly missed by her numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Lorne, parents, Lewis and Jean Cobean, brothers, Glen and R.J., sister, Mae, sisters-in-law, Valeria, Jean and brother-in-law, Jim. Felicia will also be sadly missed by close friends Roy and Clara Carvalho, Eleanor Collings, Lise Murray and many other friends and neighbours. Felicia was especially proud of her service as an ambulance driver in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. During this time, she made many life long friends and met her future husband, Lorne. Felicia loved animals and was a supporter of the London Humane Society. She loved to bake and was famous for her butter tarts, pies and chocolate cakes. Felicia was an avid reader, loved watching the Blue Jays on television and could always be counted on for a great game of Scrabble. Funeral service to be held at Denning Brothers Funeral Home in Strathroy at 1pm, Monday, August 28, with Reverend Charles Seed officiating. Visitation Sunday, August 27 from 7-9pm and Monday, August 28 from 11am-1pm. Interment will be at Strathroy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation.
