Obituary of Donald Gare

Peacefully at LHSC (University Campus), London on Monday, January 2, 2006. Donald Dwight Gare of Strathroy in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Louise (Thomas) Gare. Dear father of Brian and Winnie Gare of Strathroy, Laurie Ferguson of Strathroy and Steven Gare of London. Loved grandfather of Kelly Gare, Brad Gare, Kyle Ferguson, and Jasmyne Ferguson. Brother-in-law of Earlene (Cam) Wadsworth of Guelph, Elaine Thomas of Ailsa Craig, Leota (Dave) Robertson of Adelaide Twp., and David (Nancy) Giffen of East Williams Twp. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Manford and Freda Gare and brother Kenneth. Don was a past president of the Strathroy Jaycees and the Strathroy Lions Club and was in the floor covering business. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Wednesday, January 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5 at 3 pm with Rev. Jock Tolmay officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Strathroy Hospital Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
