Obituary of Velma Payne

On Friday, October 21st, 2005 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Velma Martha Ellen (Drake) Payne of Strathroy was received into God's loving arms in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband John (1981). Lovingly missed by daughters and son-in-laws Janet (Jim) Patterson, Linda (Neil) Thompson and Ruth (Jerry) Sommers. Dear grandmother of Christopher (Pam) and Colin Patterson, Cheryl Claridge and Heather (Jason) MacDermid, Sarah, Kurtis, Gillian Sommers. Dear great-grandmother of Kyra Patterson. Survived by brother Louis Drake. Predeceased by brothers Everett, Roy, Keith and James. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Sunday, October 23rd from 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24th at 1:30 PM. with Dr. Brian McKenzie officiating. Interment Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the 1st Baptist Church or Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
