Obituary of George Allen

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday, June 8th, 2004, Mr. George Allen of Strathroy in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Betty Baechler. Father of Joan Vankoughnett of Strathroy and Arthur Allen of Hastings. Fondly remembered by his nephews Howard Meeks of Belleville and Lorne Meeks of Hastings. Survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends will be received at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St., Strathroy on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral and committal services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A Legion Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. by the Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch 116, Strathroy.
