Obituary of Catherine Veldon

Peacefully surrounded by all her children at Strathmere Lodge on Friday, April 23, 2004, Catherine (Castelyns) Vander Velden of Strathroy in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John M. C. Vander Velden (July 12, 1993). Dear mother of Mary and Leo Hoefnagels, John and Nellie Vander Velden, Herb and Rosemary Vander Velden and Annie and Urban Mader all of Strathroy, Bi l l and Tina Vander Velden and Martin and Alexis Vander Velden of Mt. Brydges and Hank and Diane Vander Velden of Strathroy. Predeceased by a daughter Elli (December 8, 1942) and grandson Jesse K. Vander Velden (June 17, 2002). Dear Oma of 27 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Visitation at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday, April 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with C.W.L. Prayers at 1:30 P.M. and prayers at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 26 at 11 a.m. with Father John Sharp officiating. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Catherine.
