Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Wednesday, August 27, 2003. Katharine Mae (Kit) McAllister of Strathroy in her 67th year. Beloved wife of David McAllister. Loving mother of Sandy and Alan Richardson of Wallaceburg, Geoff and Grace McAllister of Strathroy, Jim and Janet McAllister of Strathroy, Lisa and Randy Woodiwiss of Strathroy, John and Elly McAllister of Watford and Steve and Rhonda McAllister of Strathroy. Proud "Granny Kit" of Becky, Mike and Patrick Richardson, Rachel, Matthew and Emily McAllister, Alisha, Michelle, David and Jake McAllister, Candace, Katie and Megan Woodiwiss, Karen, Tracy, Charlie and expected baby McAllister and Josh and Olivia McAllister. Survived by her brothers and sisters; Helen MacLary of Woodstock, Shirley Hudson of St. Catharines, Polly Fielder of Ingersoll, Don Vyse of Ingersol, Jim Vyse of Ingersoll, Gary Vyse of Delhi, Judy Vyse of London and David Vyse of Foldens Corners. Also survived by her mother-in-law Emily McAllister of Paris, Ont., many in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friend Dorothy Moir. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Edna Vyse, brothers Harry and Bill and sister Midge. "Mom's legacy of love will live on through her children and grandchildren forever." Family and friends are invited to the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, August 29 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM where a celebration of Kit's life will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 1 PM with Rev. Doug Miles officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
