Obituary of William Melkert

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, January 7, 2013, William Antony Melkert at the age of 86. Loving husband of Betty Melkert (nee Oldehanof). Beloved father of Frank (Diane) Melkert, Allan Melkert and his partner Susan Gregory, Jennifer (Jeremy) Skellet and Linda Melkert. Survived by grandchildren Mike, Lanny, Shawn, Nicholas, Haley, Melissa, Melanie, Sarah, Amanda (A.J.), Kate, Harley, Cassandra, Danielle, Jimmy, Cory, MacKenzie and many great grandchildren. Brother of the late Dini Melkert, Ted (Bunny) Melkert and John (the late Nina) Melkert. Special thanks to the nurses at Strathroy Hospital and caregiver, Iris Landers, whose care for Linda, Mom & Dad will always be remembered and to all the neighbors for their help. Bill enjoyed wood working and handcrafted many projects cherished by family and friends. He enjoyed the woodlot and the outdoors. We will remember dad for introducing us to camping in our early years. Bill enjoyed a good game od golf and a crossword puzzle and all the music lessons he provided. Dad will be missed but always remembered by all of us here in Canada and family in Holland. Breathe easy now. Mom and your loving family. Cremation has taken place.
