I cant even express how much you will be missed. I loved working with you and how you try to tell me what to do like I was one of your kids and I would say to you excuse me? Your answer was always the same smiling and saying do it already! One of many great memories. I always came back to Strathroy just to see you at the sandwich counter working your butt off as always. Such a hard worker and great person. My condolences to your family, friends and the Tim Crew! Love ya!

Everyone has someone they look up to, inspire to be more like. For me that person was my sister Violet. Violet always put everyone else before herself. To know Violet was to love her. Violet was the best sister that anyone could have asked for.
As I look back on the memories that my sister and I had shared together I realize how lucky I am. Violet was nine years older than me and was like a mini mom to me. There was nothing that I ever needed or wanted that I did not get. Violet would often use her paycheques to buy me new clothes or pay my way into roller skating. I remember when Violet bought me a ring and I lost it. I was devasted and scared to tell her. When I got home and told her she immediately wanted to get in the car and go buy me a new one. She was not even a little disappointed with me. That was who Violet was. Supportive, loving and always there for you.
Her life was cut far too short, but during her time on earth she touched so many people. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever. My sister Violet was the most strongest, couragest woman I know.
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.
Violet, I will love you forever and always plus a day. You will always be my hero.

wow, I'm in complete shock and with a heavy sadden heart. I send my thoughts and prayers to her family through this unbelievable difficult time . My memory of Violet. I started at Tim Hortons and Violet was the most compassionate, kind, helpful, patience woman I've even met. She handled the business of work so calm and collected. She always made sure she asked how everything was. She will be soo missed by her home & Tim Hortons family immensely. May you rest in the arms Jesus , gone but never forget your smiling face !
