Myrna & family
When I was posted to Sarnia I had the good fortune to be assigned to go on patrol with Ron on my first day September 23, 1964. We were sent to a small country church to investigate the theft of a brand new organ which had been delivered the previous day. He solved that case very quickly and a man was charged with the theft the next day. What really stood out in my mind was that Ron went about the investigation in a very unassuming quiet and methodical way. That always stuck with me as better than any police or detective story I had ever seen or read about. He was always a great resource to go to for advice and he was always ready to help any of the guys in the detachment. No one ever had a bad word to say about him. He certainly was well liked by everyone.
Karen & I think of you and your family every day and hope you are doing well.
With lots of love
Karen & John

Our very deepest sympathy to you,Mryna, and your family. We only knew Ron after he retired and was driving school bus for Langs, at Metcalfe Central School. What a great driver he was! Never took any guff from any of the troublemakers and always had the best bus of kids. If Ron gave you one of his "looks", you knew you needed to behave. We missed him when he decided to retire from Langs, too. We hope he was able to enjoy his 2nd retirement, and do the things he wanted to do. Our hearts go out to you, on the passing of a great man.
