Obituary of Jeannette Van Damme
Peacefully passed, surrounded by family at Victoria Hospital after a short battle with cancer, on Monday, March 10th, 2014, shortly after her 50th birthday. Leaving behind the most important people in her life, her children; Mandy (Marc Brown), Melanie (Rick Elias), Bryan, Brad, and Michael. Jeannette was the most gentle, caring and loving mother. She was a wonderful role model for her children and will be a guardian angel to her future grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strength, dignity and hard work. Jeannette is the dear daughter of Angela and the late Joseph Van Damme. Beloved sister of Mary (Andre) Kosynski, Margaret (Bob) Robinson, Matilda (Doug) Muxlow, Marilyn Van Damme, Joseph Van Damme, Monica (Grant) Delmage, Marian Barber, Michele (Dave Tripney) Gillard, Jacqueline Scott, Jim Van Damme, Joanne Van Damme. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Hugh Thomson and Bill Glithero, her sister-in-law Betty Van Damme and her nephew Nathan Gillard. A special thanks to Dr. Malik and the caring staff at Victoria Hospital. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 14th at 11a.m at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Strathroy.
