I was listening to Nascar Classics while I was mowing my lawn today and the race I listened to was Martinsville 1974. I was only 2 at the time so I wouldn't remember the race but I enjoyed learning he was the only Canadian to ever win a Nascar Winston Cup Grand National race. A true legend. RIP Mr. Ross

SORRY TO HEAR OF EARL'S PASSING. I FIRST SAW HIM COMPETE AT CAYUGA SPEEDWAY AT NELLES CORNERS IN THE 60's. HE MADE A MONUMENTOUS CONTRIBUTION TO STOCK CAR RACING IN ONTARIO AND INSPIRED MANY A YOUNG FELLOW TO PURSUE THE SPORT. IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT SPONSORSHIP POLITICS DEPRIVED US OF HIS REAL CAPABILITIES . EARL WAS TRULY A LEGEND IN HIS TIME. ..........REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND!!!!

Dear Friends and Family of Earl Ross,
It was with deep sorrow that we learned of Earls passing. Our sincere sympathy to all of Earl’s family and friends. I will always fondly remember the summers on PEI as children and the great fun we had on the farm in Fortune. As Earl’s cousin, it was with great pride that we have followed Earl’s successful racing and business career. Our condolences at your loss – Earl will be missed.
With our love,

My condolences to Earl's family. Like so many of the guys in West London I worked at his Fina station at Wharncliffe & Oxford across from my Dad's drug store. Earl was a good mechanic and a patient (well, mostly!) teacher to a bunch of only slightly younger kids. Godspeed to him...

To Earl's family - you have our heartfelt sympathy. Stay strong. Earl was an unbelievablely talented race car driver. Back in the 70's, he was a real treat to watch at the track in Delaware as he would dive that old camero deep into the corners.THANKS Earl for the great memories.
