Obituary of William John Henry Veitch

William “Bill” Veitch passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig on Wednesday August 12th, 2015 in his 98th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend of almost 70 years Nola (nee Hutchinson - 2009). Loving father of Norm and Trudy of British Columbia, Bernice MacGregor and the late Albert (2009) of Parkhill, Jim and Lois Morton of Strathroy, Paul and Shirley of Blenheim, and Lyle and Christine of Alberta. He was a proud grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 22. Bill farmed in the Ailsa Craig area, as well as owned both tractor trailers and a feed mobile before going to work for Silverwood’s until his retirement. He and Nola travelled and camped for years with their countless trailer club friends. Friends and family will be received at Denning’s of Ailsa Craig, 171 Ailsa Craig Main Street, on Friday from 5 to 8pm, where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1pm.
